The game is set in late 1987 within the same universe as White Paper Games' first title Ether One. The game doesn't have a health bar or energy system, when the game needs to punish the player it does so by using up the player's time, for example if a player is caught doing something they shouldn't, they are taken to a security office and lose 15 minutes of game time, which shortens the time available to achieve the main aim of the game, obtaining knowledge. Wanted to try this game today, couldn't make it past the first cutscene. The game just keeps on crashing randomly. Apparently the devs are aware of the issue and never patched it. Furthermore, every time you start the game, you have to wait for what feels like 10 hours until every single logo in the history of humanity has faded from the screen. AND THE GAME EVEN NEEDS TO LOAD WHEN YOU FINALLY MADE IT PAST IT. How is this even possible? I'm sorry but I don't have time to waste on trash like this, I have enough other things in my backlog. Thankfully I got the game for free, I don't know how a game like this can be sold when it's such a poorly developed game. Utter incompetence.

I like that they're going for a more intelligent political story than most games even attempt, but it sucks to actually play. It's one of those games where opening a drawer requires holding a button then pulling the stick back... But every single action has something like that. It's a total chore to play with a controller.

Probably gonna bounce on this one, because it could be a groundbreaking narrative, but if it's miserable to actually play, I won't enjoy it. This is why I can't do CRPGs.
