In The Spirit and the Mouse, you play as a little mouse, granted temporary powers in the place of a weakened spirit guardian. The job? resolve the electrical problems in the neighborhood with the help of mischievous energy-beings called kibblins, and bring happiness to the humans.
It's always refreshing to play a game that's focused on the joy and wonder in the world. The Spirit and the Mouse really leans into this direction, and the result is a game that lightly tugs at your heartstrings with great characterization, and a simple yet powerful story.
The actual gameplay is primarily based on exploration of city neighborhoods, with some puzzle elements mixed in. The neighborhoods feel right in scale - they're large enough without being overwhelmingly so. The puzzle elements - and the kibblins - are crafted individually and each have their own charm.
I loved this game, and spent enough time with it to collect all the achievements. If you're looking for a relaxed, joyful, and generally wonderful experience, this game is an easy recommendation.
P.S. - There are unfortunately some bugs still present in the game, but patches continue to be actively developed.

What a delight this was to play. Very relaxing, the game lets you explore at your own pace. The presentation and characters are adorable. Plus, I had a lot of fun collecting all the lightbulbs that unlock maps, photo mode etc. The puzzle elements weren't very hard but quite creative. In my opinion, the difficulty is actually perfect for this type of game because it adds to the relaxing gameplay instead of confronting you with a challenge. I absolutely loved this little gem (and I may have cut some onions at the end).

Sometimes, we all need to have a little bit more of Mouse/Lila in us.
