Really enjoyable arcade rally game that only lacked a bit more levels imo, there is 9-10 levels from what i remember and their mirror alternatives etc. but it feels 3-4 stages too little for such a lengthy career mode that unfortunately does feel adequate enough for a arcade type progression but i would have liked a bit more of a sensation of fighting your way up the ladder to become the best instead, progression is generally a bit too quick but i think its the lack of stages and especially different and enjoyable cars that makes it ultimately lacking to hit the top marks because its a really enjoyable racing game and one of the few i have enjoyed fully through the career mode in recent years.

I didn't play much but I definitely love this game. I love the vibe it gives and how it plays. Eveno though this is a pretty cliche DiRT concept it's still executed really well. The visuals are really fiting for it's time preiod and give awesome vibe.
So this is strange and interesting. Apparently V-sync in Dirt 2 causes stutter or its my SLI setup either way, it is incredibly distracting. So I turned v-sync off and turned on Freesync. Its fine now. So both basically do the same thing, yet one doesn't work at all or causes the problem in the first place and the other actually fixes the problem. Very strange. But anyway, game is pretty awesome and as I've been progressing my only real criticism is the lack of Rally events. For every one Rally event, there are like 10 others. It's not that I don't like these other events, it's just that I'd be playing Forza if I wanted to race, rather than doing Rally. I guess that's why Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2 exist. But I really love the rest of the game's vibe so far. Much more fun than the sterile atmosphere of Dirt Rally, etc...
Just decided to check this out to see the difference between it and the first Dirt. Seems like they got their racing chops perfected in this game as it is much better than the original Dirt. Also, I kind of like the X Games stuff, even though it's corny it adds some personality to the game.
