I first played this game in 2016 and loved it. I decided to give it another go as my old N64 memory pak finally died and I wanted to have a 100% save file for it. Goemon's Great Adventure is a blast to play! The soundtrack is full of earworms, the level design with branching paths entices the player to come back to a stage to try and find all the secrets, and the later stages provide a good challenge for the more experienced players.

I only have a few gripes overall with my experience. The camera can sometimes screw you over, hiding an enemy offscreen that jerks into frame leaving the player without time to react. A few of the entry passes don't really provide a challenge so much as they just force the player through tedious or unclear objectives (the call center).

Other than that, I only have good things to say about this fantastic game. Getting 100% has been a lot of fun. Go play it if you're looking for an obscenely charming yet moderately difficult platformer!
