Not gonna properly review this, but I agree with some of the more mixed reviews here, leaning more to the positive side. It starts great in its tension, atmosphere, and mystery, but doesn't really keep it up enough of the time, and despite being relatively concise in length it still feels like individual scenes go on far too long at points for how static and info-dump-y they can be. A little bummed as at first I thought it would be one of my top 5-6 games of the year, but the hooks didn't really sink in enough for me over the course of the whole thing. Ok, so I'm locked out of the true ending because I can't remember the name I started with, should have just went with my steam name if I knew this shit was going to happen.

Update: I decided to just watch the true ending on YouTube and it sucked, I mean how did the whole curse thing stop when he left Yoko there in the park dead, when in the original timeline the same thing happened but the curses and feast of shadows was still active. Also I like how he went out of his way to kill 5 people to bring back someone he had only known for a couple of months but when he learns everything that happened up till that point and that Yoko was possessed he just leaves her body there with little to no emotion shown about it.

My dumbass didn't realise there was a system in place where you can have a do-over after you die so I kept saving and loading, only realised after I died in the garden area to Harue and let the cutscene play out after it.
