Currently debating whether or not I want to purchase some of the core Microsoft Studios Xbox games that are available in GamePass before my GamePass sub expires. Currently debating whether or not I want to purchase some of the core Microsoft Studios Xbox games that are available in GamePass before my GamePass sub expires. Especially since a bunch of them are on sale right now. Sunset Overdrive and ReCore: Definitive Edition are two, even though I have ambivalent feelings about them and own them on disc (my brother has my Series X so the discs are less useful to me at the moment 🤣). I also already own Quantum Break and Forza Horizon 4 on Steam. I wonder if there are an other really quintessential Xbox games I should pick up while they are on sale.

It's a real shame that a game as fantastic as this is gonna wrap up with easily one the worst and most unnecessarily difficult DLC's of all time. What a way to leave an awful taste in my mouth after all this time and effort. Fucking hell.

Is anyone here interested in playing Sunset Overdrive? I bought a Humble Bundle and I have a spare key that I can give away to anybody who's interested. :)

After 2 years I am so very very VERY close to having all the collectibles in this game and beating the game proper. Then I have to focus on the DLC and all the misc cleanup. Feels good though to finally be this close to properly finishing it finally.

Fun to see Insomniac's progression from Infameous to Sunset Overdrive to Spiderman. I like the Infamous games better, but still enjoyed Sunset Overdrive. Traversal is the biggest highlight here as you jump, float, and grind over a packed city. It's a blast just grinding down a powerline, floating over to a building, wall running, bouncing off an airvent, etc. The …

Man, this game is a major collect-a-thon but honestly I enjoy those because it lets me listen to and catch up on podcasts while I hunt everything down.

Ehmm, so not only I finished the game, but I also played both DLCs. I guess @bmo was right that the fun wouldn't last. 🤣

Well, there you go. Got to the ending, did a few optional quests. It seems I've still got two DLC-worth of content which I don't know that I'll complete. I'll up my rating for this game. The open world is kind of boring for many different reasons (not a lot of location variety, complete lack of people, repetitive mission structure) but movement is really fun and the humour works when it's going for 4th wall breaking instead of fart jokes and dumb stereotypes.

I've noticed that you can quit the game mid-mission and when you boot it back up the autosave is almost where you left it. In my recollection most open-world games only save the game in-between missions. Good QOL feature!

I was in the mood for some brainless fun and for some reason this game jumped at me from my Steam library and decided to give it another chance. I'm having more fun and tolerating the open world bullshit more. What difference one's attitude does...
