NaissanceE is a first person exploration PC game developed on UDK by Limasse Five with the participation of Pauline Oliveros, Patricia Dallio and Thierry Zaboitzeff. The adventure takes place in a primitive mysterious structure and the game mainly consists to explore and feel the deep and strong ambiance of this atemporal world but platforming and puzzles areas will also enrich the experience. NaissanceE is a game, a philosophical trip and an artistic experience. The game is constructed along a linear path punctuated by more open areas to freely explore, some puzzles to solves and some more experimental sequences. Going deeper and deeper in a primitive zone from “Naissance” world, the player will meet entities or mechanical systems. Whether those entities are life forms or pure machines, they react to player presence, to light and shadow and they may open access to the following. If most parts of the journey will require only curiosity and logic, a good control and coordination on running, breathing and jumping actions will help to go through rare but exigent sequences, as an homage to old school die an retry games. The main idea behind the game is to make the player appreciate the loneliness, the feeling to be lost in a gigantic unknown universe and to be marvelled by the beauty of this world. A world which seems to be alive, leading the player, manipulating him and playing with him for any reason. Imagination is an important key to enjoy and understand NaissanceE. Walking in an undiscovered abstract structure brings questions about the nature of this world, about the meaning of this trip. Evocating and symbolic, the architecture and events will lead player’s imagination to find an answer, if it only matters. Less

a neat exploration game.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

enter image description here This game is really good at its atmosphere, its a game in which makes video game photography a lot more enjoyable then irl photography, id 100 percent reccomend playing this game in vr mode, i sadly dont have the resources to do that but i feel the only real way to get the full vibe is a vr headset. the reason i gave this a 3 instead of a 5 is because it has a few platforming parts, which id rather not have in any pure exploartion game. and the platforming in my opinion isnt really well done. It makes me question, if you cant do the platforming well why bother? now the reason that this isnt a 1 star is because its actually free! i free game thats longer then half an hour, we are lucky. id reccomend checking this game out if your into exploration and while all the screenshots have the same colour pallet the views are really the main thing its trying to sell you on. its gonna sound out of left field and i havent actually played the said game but its enviroment kinda reminds me of NieR:Automata, i saw a video about some hidden …

Overall pretty cool.

Claustrophobic and Immense - An unforgettable trip

Sense of scale: claustrophobic environments that open up to spaces of colossal scale.
A sensation of being in an alien place that no other game has better given me.
What place is this? Am I dreaming? Have I died and I´m in limbo now?
I progress throughout the game but the uneasiness feeling refuses to leave. I see only geometric structures, lights, some creatures that look alive (or are they robots?) of geometric shapes. Immense structures...and empty.
Music and sound effects help the mood.
This game made me experience some of the best memories I have about sci-fy/fantasy movies I consumed in the past: the dark city, huge, geometric shapes of Blade Runner (especially the striking beginning of the movie). The immense structures, electrical discharges, giant and desolate tunnels of the city in the sky of The Empire Strikes Back. The black smoke of Lost.
This game is beautiful and worth taking the time to explore it, with the exception of some very dark parts which is difficult to navigate. It starts strong, but the first awe moment is the Going Down chapter. And then later there are many more beautiful moments to behold.

A magic experience and different from everything that I have played.

It is a pitty few people know it and I am fortunate to be curious and intrigued enough to grab it in one of Steam´s sales.

This is a rare jewel and it shines in a sea of forgettable games.
