A friend in need is a friend indeed, and friendship can come in the most unusual forms. Like in that of a giant ghost. In Ghost Giant, you meet young Louis. A cute VR game about depression

I was really surprised by the plot twist here. It looks like a kids game, but has some stuff you'd not understand at that age. The mom in this game was clearly depressed. At one moment, I was prepared facepalm really hard when the son prepared a party for his mom and I was expecting them to show me how that magically cured her depression. But I was quite surprised that that didn't happen and instead they went for a more realistic portrayal of depression. 🙀

It's also funny, because when I read discussions about this game online, many people actually complained about not getting the ending they expected (mom becoming happy because of the party, you saved the day). I feel a bit bad that some people just missed the message and wanted an unrealistic ending, just to make then feel good.

Played this on Quest 2
The gameplay is clunky at times, I'd rate 3/5 if not for the story, cute characters and relaxing music.

Cute VR puzzle game

Controls are a bit clumsy and the game is short but the experience is worth it for 10 bucks or less. It also is super good for beginners and children, it has a very cute and original atmosphere.

Definitely one of the best VR-Games I've played so far. At its core, it's a point & click with a few great ideas of how to best make use of VR without causing motion sickness. The whole concept is cute and the story is engaging and very touching. Only problem I had was that the motion tracking of the move controllers was sometimes very finicky and glitchy (although that might not be the game's fault as I've yet to play one where it works perfectly). Oh and my neck didn't appreciate the strain of having to look down most of the time with the headset on. Other than that, I can only recommend this to anyone owning a PSVR!
