Frustrating physics, slow moving NPCs, and limited camera movement made this game really miss the mark for me. I expected it to be silly and chaotic but I was finding it really hard to enjoy sneaking around and trying to cause mayhem because of the way the NPCs behaved combined with how we as the goose move around really making stealth feel impossible. I wanted to love this for a fun light game but I found myself getting so annoyed that I was not have a fun chill time with it anymore.

It Takes Two (Fledgling Goose edtion)

Fox (gf) and I picked this up on our agreement to give it a run on co-op mode. We had an easy learning curve but it took us learning to figure out and coordinate our birds-of-a-feather shenanigans in an idyllic neighborhood, which the game manages to make lively enough to interact with.

The result was over 3 hours of improvisations, trials-and-errors and high-fives at hard task accomplishments. No story here, it makes as much as sense we try to make out of geese in general; the satisfying point comes in watching the human npc reactions to our disaster attempts.

The game's intuitiveness has its fluctuating moments and left me stumped for just a couple of times. The game rides on the silliness as a selling point, and that's a fine break to take (especially if done with a friend, optionally).

This was going to be a three-star game--perfectly respectable--up until the "transport the bell" level, where I noped out. On the whole, I'm disappointed. This is a nice premise, but it wears thin pretty quick and at this point it's just stopped being fun. Two out of my customary four, and the cute art and fun concept are definitely carrying much of that second star.

Sluggish and boring gameplay

The game atmosphere is charming but the gameplay feels slow, sluggish and I get more frustrated than the people I'm trying to fool. I don't really understand why it got so much success.

I had loads of funny playing this. Being a goose making hell in a little town. Great.

When a shortcut beats a trilogy!

When i was a kid every saturday morning meant watching cartoons really early while eating some chocolate unhealthy cereals.

Untitled goose game made me go back to that nostalgia happy time.

This maniac goose is a breath of fresh air and really shows how creative short videogames can survive between big mainstream bullet multiplayer explosions.

Please buy the game, help the creators and enjoy it fully.

Short little game (~5h). Love creating chaos with a goose. Really fun game. Love messing with people.

A cozy and charming (albeit at times frustrating) sassy sandbox stealth 'puzzle' game

I played through the game co-op with my sister. It was a loooooot of fun to be a couple of sassy geese going around ruining people's day. We laughed often because the concept, art and gameplay are so charming. It's also quite rewarding when you can figure out how to accomplish the less obvious tasks.

You can interact with pretty much everything and do all kinds of things to bother the villagers. You can do plenty of things that have nothing to do with anything, which added an interesting element to co-op.

The reason I add that it's "frustrating" at times is that the controls were not the smoothest (rounding corners quickly is not easy and we kept getting stuck on things). I wouldn't say that's a deal breaker - we just laughed about it or swore at the screen and moved on. While it can interrupt you from accomplishing a task, it just resets a bit and you can try again.

It's not a super long game, so you might want to wait until it's on sale.

Once you play through the main checklists, new tasks open up to you that bring the different areas together. It's also a different experience playing solo than with a friend, so you could have more than one run-through that way.

Overall I definitely recommend! If there's a sequel or if this becomes a series of games, I will definitely be playing more!

Good times.

A cute and funny puzzle/stealth game. I had a smile on my face for pretty much the entire time. You're just a goose causing chaos in this small English village.

Although it's very short it's still a good time. There's also a bunch of harder objectives you can try once you finish the main story.

Goose Wars

A fun indie game were you control a Goose, who wreaks havoc on a small town on a quest to find something worth more than any treasure.

Peace was never an option!

A game about a horrible goose who hates its neighbours may sound like a "joke game", but even if there are sense of humor in this game, its gameplay is actually serious. Untitled Goose is a game about puzzles. You have to bother your neighbours in order to complete the goal the game assigns to you, use your goose movements to achieve that and have fun thinking about how you can make something happen.

The controls are intentionally weird, but you really feel like a goose. The puzzles are pretty well designed and are intuitive enough, so they are enjoyable puzzles. The soundtrack, the artistic design and the humourous situations* are pretty charming and fun too, so everything works pretty well there.

But everything just ends too soon. I'm not really a short games' hater, but here I felt there should be at least two levels more. There are challenges, indeed, but it's not the same.

So if you are ready for a short game, this one is a charming and well designed puzzle game. And you will feel like the horrible goose we all carry in our hearts.

*I have to mention that there was a specific moment that was probably the most hilarious scene I saw in a game in 2022. I loved that scene too much.

Duck

This game is awesome because I can play as a duck which is great. Although this game is short which is sad. Either way, this game is still peak and I will always enjoy playing it after a rejection!

This was one of the first games my daughter actually tried to play for a bit and she had so much fun spending an hour just repeatedly opening the water tap to make the farmer go crazy. Literally an hour just doing that. And that was it.

Fast forward a couple of years and she asked me to play it again. This time, we tackled it for real, playing in co-op mode, and we had so much fun. It's such a simple, naive and funny game, full of really comical situations that made us laugh so much, but at the same time quite smart in terms of puzzles and making us think about what to do. As usual, she kinda panicked in stressful situation and let me manage those, but she was really involved in finding solutions for the puzzles. Also, she was such a joy to look at when she was excitedly telling her mother stories of our adventures in the game.

Plus, I had a couple of "Wow, dad, you're great, good idea, you're really smart!" moments when I devised plans for ther game, like when we locked the farmer out of his garden. So, I agree with GDC: best game of 2019.

This was a radical different experience for me. I didn't played it to finish it, for the story or to get better. I played it for the laughs, for the clever —but easy— puzzles and just to goose around. Everything looks so nice, there's no rush for anything. It's a game to relax, maybe think a little, and then laugh your ass off when you realize how to cause a little chaos.

It could be better. Yes. The controls could be a little better and there could be more clever puzzles. But for what it is, is just an amazing little experience.

Also, the memes are great. I love how we turned the goose into a symbol of revolution, anti-brexit and anarchism because of course we would do that.

4/5, would honk again.
