Great game if you are in the mood for an upbeat Playstation era RPG. Great sprite work, bright and colorful environments, and quirky characters. If you don't expect anything dark, deep, or incredibly unique this is a fun old school rpg.

I'm being overly harsh, but it's really difficult to play a classic JRPG without all the bells and whistles that modern titles provide. Going from Clair Obscur to this was a really stupid move. Read moreI'm being overly harsh, but it's really difficult to play a classic JRPG without all the bells and whistles that modern titles provide. Going from Clair Obscur to this was a really stupid move. I can see where the charm is, some of the writing is quite funny, but the menu and battle system were a chore to slog through and the anime cutscenes and voice acting (which would have been incredible in 1992) haven't aged all that well. Happy to have beaten for my own edification but I didn't have very much fun playing it.
