There is a Normandy beach level, it is just as compelling as any other time but as my first in VR, I was nervous and excited! The shout of "20 SECONDS!", the confusion, the nervous energy, etc. was all great and then the door drops and the bullets start flying...
...and... there are about 4 low-poly models, 2 gun nests, low rez sand and water and a bunch of empty space. This might be specifically a Quest 2 version issue but it is unfortunately underwhelming.
The rest of the game is entertaining enough. At first, it felt odd to have 10 minutes of shooting and 5 of talking, rinse and repeat but I got into the rhythm of it. In addition, there is so much diversity of what and how you do the shooting bits that it never got boring to play.
There is also a feature-length amount of short films about WW2 that are interesting but at, what I would call, an "acceptable" resolution but to save space I am guessing not what I would call "nice".
I have no idea why this game is 42GBs?! It is about 40x bigger than most other games on the platform but …

I had fun but will probably never play again and I loathe multiplayer. Does that sound "worth it"? Up to the individual, I guess.
Playing the Quest 2 exclusive version.
It only lists PC but the platform is Quest.

It was very weird to hear EA, Respawn Entertainment and Oculus mentioned on an Oscar acceptance speech.
