This is a pretty solid visual novel. Making dialogue choices and minimally interacting with the environment. The story was intriguing and was the main thing that kept me pushing through the somewhat repetitive and slower paced gameplay. It took me a while to understand the mechanic of creating universes as Lila but once I did it was a very enjoyable part of the game. The relationship between the two main characters gave a nice sense of mystery and while I did predict how they were connected it was still worth it to see how the story would unfold. Really my biggest problem was the pace and that I felt like some aspects were way too drawn out and took me out of the overall narrative. Still since I enjoyed the story and the impact it had on the characters it was worth a play through especially for people who love slower visual novel games.
I'm a big fan of visual novels of all types including point and click adventures (which this one is) but this one is too slow-paced in both story and in functionality. Good worldbuilding, art, characters but the cons outweigh the pros.
I read in some reviews that people struggled because of its slow pacing and I can totally see that but I did not struggle at all (and I tend to struggle with visual novels because my attention span is not great) because the story was engaging and I was genuinely curious what was gong to happen next. I really liked the art, the characters and the story for the most part. It did have some minor glitches, like it took a few tries sometimes to get the characters to move from one space to another etc but nothing major in my opinion.
My problem with the game was mainly the ending. It felt so rushed and unsatisfying honestly. I get what they were going for but considering that the game was so slow paced (which I enjoyed), the ending felt mega rushed in comparison. But that could also be because I didn't really like it. I don't have a problem with

All in all I am giving 4 stars because I really did enjoy most of the game. The ending is a big part of a game but I am not going to fault them too much for my expectations and there was really a lot to enjoy and appreciate about this game.

Jackbox Party Pack 4
Quite an odd game so far. And I don't mean that in a bad way because it definitely has me intrigued and wondering what is actually going on. I am clicking with all the characters and enjoying their interactions and overall just having a good time with it.
The potential downside to making you so curious about the story and giving you very little answers through is that it kind of sets the bar high because it's hard to make the payoff as good as the wondering but I guess we'll see how it pans out.
