V1CGaming's review of Loot River
This review is for the Xbox Series X|S version

Honestly I am finding it hard to continue to play this game. It didn’t grab me like I’d hoped. Everything about the gameplay is mediocre at best. Progression is worse than Spelunky and I am tired of games like that. Combat was uneventful and it's a huge part of the game. Parrying attacks seemed impossible, fighting monsters was clunky and it just doesn’t do much for me.

So far the moving platform mechanic in this is REALLY neat. It gives you another element to control combat, lots of moments so far where I can avoid getting overwhelmed by cornering a boss on a small platform and just wooshing off to another corner of the map. I will definitely be doing runs during finals study breaks.

Excited to check this out. I want to play Inscryption after I finish Star Ward Jedi: Fallen Order but either Loot River or Citizen Sleeper is likely next up after that.
