Dealing with the issue of the contemporary refugee crisis while at the same time being deeply rooted in a classical cyberpunk atmosphere à la Blade Runner, NORTH features a dark synthpop soundtrack, a sprawling mega-city and weird monster-like inhabitants.

Has potential but overall design kinda sucks

I was vibing with this game a lot until I got too confused about where to go. I was trying to get into the forge and turn on the things but it MUST be impossible? I gave up after a couple of tries. Wandered around for a bit but found now means of progressing. Disappointing considering some places were pretty cool.

sizzleleg's review of North

This was a really cool wee game. VERY rough around the edges, but interesting narratively and deeply unsettling. Atmospheric, creepy and profound. Not bad for a quid and it only lasts an hour.

Just ok

I generally have no problem with walking simulators and unconventional or artsy games. However, North didn't quite do it for me. Sure, the soundtrack is good and it tackles an important issue, but it's really short (about 1h) and never particularly engaging or original. I don't regret spending 3 bucks and 1h on it, but I certainly could have done without it too. Anyway, worth checking out if you enjoyed Gone Home and similar games.
