Beat every level except the last. I know I was going to win but it was so tedious that I did not feel like playing to completion. The early levels were good but very quickly the difficulty ramped up to the point of needing a walkthrough. The kind of arbitrary difficulty based on tight time limits where you have to guess exactly what the developers want you to do or fail.

The game mechanics are solid and could have been the foundation for an excellent game. I liked the skill based shooting, tactical aspect of using radar vs sonar and the different weapons and ships, and the overall strategic aspect of capturing ports. However the level design leaves much to be desired and makes this a mediocre game.

I did 1 game of classic battleship. I won by a single turn when it was down to my sub vs their patrol boat. I found it the turn after they hit my sub. This mode is nothing special. I had a better battleship game for gameboy back in the day.
