Fun top-down metroidvania/Zelda-like with lots of meta humor

This was honestly much better than I expected. The whole “you’re a 4th wall breaking anti-hero” wasn’t a selling point - I hated Deadpool. But the humor and references were always surprising and never got grating, in fact it contributed to some interesting plot points.

This was honestly much better than I expected. The whole “you’re a 4th wall breaking anti-hero” wasn’t a selling point - I hated Deadpool. But the humor and references were always surprising and never got grating, in fact it contributed to some interesting plot points.

But aside from the narrative device, this game is just pretty fun. Exploration feels great, there’s a map and secrets and ability gating. The combat is serviceable- though I think a bit unbalanced (I had to lower the difficulty in the accessibility settings eventually).

This isn’t a GOTY contender for me, but it’s a solid Zelda-like with a fun tone and satisfying gameplay.
