It’s been a while since I played the original Heaven Dust, but I think generally I preferred it. This one has some improvements: the combat is more polished and varied. First - the map sucks. It’s confusing to look at, it’s a static complicated image and not nearly as clean as the first one. The puzzles and level design here feel a bit less interesting too. There’s some really great sections, such as the outdoor park and graveyard. But the lab areas just aren’t as great as the original mansion.

I had fun, and it’s a competent survival horror with Resident Evil written all over it. I really hope there will be a third one, but the devs seem to have zero internet presence so who knows. It’s a fun series, and despite feeling it’s a little bit weaker than the OG, it’s totally worth picking up for resident evil fanatics.
