Pogostuck Review

I must admit I'm completely addicted to Pogostuck at the moment.

enter image description here

I'm not exactly sure what the appeal is. The graphics/aesthetics are awful, the controls are awful.. even the idea itself isn't very original; it's an obvious ripoff of "getting over it." I guess the little nugget of originality is the multiplayer aspect. So myself and a couple friends have been spending our evenings attempting to scale this mountain of trash and frustration on these chubby little pogo guys.

Not really sure what else I can say about it. You're a little dude on a pogostick, and you're trying to scale this mountain of trash with these increasingly-challenging obstacles. I must say, it's really addictive and I quite enjoy playing it while listening to podcasts. I bought it for myself and a few friends for a couple bucks over the holiday steam sales. I've put in around 12 hours and I've made it around 35% up the mountain. Only 1% of steam players have reached the very top of the mountain.

This is like some horrible boiled-down internet-explorer flash game version of dark souls. I really love this game, though I don't think it's for everyone.
