This game sucked me in and I found myself playing for 5 hours straight. It gives me that warm blanket Castlevania feel, with the same pixel art aesthetic, enemy designs, collectible items, multiple map areas to explore, etc. etc.

What's different and interesting? I like the two spirits you can quickly switch between to absorb certain damage, or use against appropriately vulnerable targets. This doesn't always work in tandem and can make combat a bit more interesting: your fire spirit absorbs fire damage but you can't damage flame monsters, so you have to switch back and forth between spirits. I also very much like the simple arrow puzzles wherein you have to bank your arrow shots around tight corners to cut ropes or turn gears and open doors.

I believe I am near the end but the bosses are getting very annoying and repetitive. All have multiple stages, they paralyze, they dizzy, they poison, and move exceedingly fast. At this point I think I have had my fill. The plot is very uninteresting and tends to be just cameos by all your favorite Record of Lodoss War characters. There is clearly something more sinister going on but... meh.
