Port of Scarab of Ra

I usually can't click with rogue likes or early first-person dungeon crawlers, and tho I certainly can't claim to have gotten deep into this one (got to Prestige 1460 before burning out), this was by far the best of these early ones so far! I could actually, gasp, navigate and tell where I was going (the Map helped :-p , these early 3d first person crawler games have such nondescript walls how else am I suppose to tell where I am?!). I love the classic Mac look (look at the cute Cobra below!), the windows-based adventure game vibe like Enchanted Sceptres (which I actually completed twice, but wasn't a dungeon crawler or rogue-like), and the fact it has Hints, a good control system, a clear UI etc etc. Very well-done. I wish it had a set ending, but it goes on and on and on (supposedly). It wasn't as unforgiving as people said but it indeed was unforgiving like rogue likes/dungeon crawlers are wont to be :-p Oh, pro-tip: turning (the dark shaded arrows) counts as a turn, which means you get hungrier, so use the outlined arrows instead to just look to the left or right, saves a lot …

Also, always keep your eye on Pick Up--I got to the end of a maze and looked back through everywhere before realizing the Key was on the very first tile :-p
