ARCADE SPORTS -- Ever wished Windjammers was 3D? Then play Disc Jam, a competitive game that plays like tennis & air hockey, but with a frisbee!

PROS:

++ Great reimagining. Great 3D reimagining of Windjammers

++ Polished gameplay. Very technical gameplay that is both fun and challenging

++ Perfect difficulty. Quite competitive, even against AI

++ Core mechanics. Big fan of the core gameplay elements like the scoring system (the longer the rally, the more points you earn), and the "juice" system (consecutive perfect releases make throws more powerful). They do a great job of making matches intense.

++ Sound design. Sound effects were great and made certain moves so satisfying.

CONS:

-- Offline content. Severely lacking in any offline content and unlockables.

-- Super throws. Super throws are too hard to perform and too easy to intercept.

-- Complexity. Not as easy to learn, making it intimidating or uninviting for casual players.

-- Visuals. Art style and presentation are incredibly "meh".

I don't know why people hate on this one. It's a fun little multiplayer game. It's like tennis with a frisbee, and it explodes if it hits the ground, it's great. Best-played with friends for couch co-op/vs matches. I guess there isn't too much to this game, which is why people get bored after a while (definitely not much to offer for a single-player experience I guess, other than playing against people online). But it controls fine and will entertain everyone for a few rounds every now and then.
