Saw Meets Motel 6
This review is for the PlayStation 5 version

Escape room meets the Saw franchise with a sprinkle of survival horror.

What to say about Oxide: Room 104? It's a short, low budget indie horror game with a great premise and a lot of bad character design that's far from scary.

You wake up naked in a bath tub (dong and all) and you must figure your way through an old rikity motel. Far from anything fancy.

In first person perspective you scour your way room from room looking for keys to go into other rooms to eventually find your way out. Each room looks somewhat the same with different layouts and explorable items of interest, as well as level of danger. Graphically speaking this game looks fairly clean. While monsters look terrible, unscary and look out of place.

Gameplay is pretty slow and tedious after while, the constant load screens going from room to hallway, and back into a room gets a little annoying. Plus the action of turning every doorknob...

It's not a bad game, it's entertaining for a horror fan, but it's far from great.
