Intro

This is a shoot-em-up. You fly around the screen and shoot enemies.

The Good

• Cool visuals.
• Lots of different enemies and attacks.
• Energy management (shield or weapons).

The Bad

• Replaying first mission shows cutscenes again.
• Bizarre ground attack key is Space? Really weird.
• Dodging enemy attacks is too often impossible.

The Ugly

When i was a kid i used to play a ton of Raptor: Call Of The Shadows. I've played a bunch of other shmups too. I couldn't beat the first mission on Easy. In Raptor that would be fine, you could still make money for upgrades. Not in Cygni. I'm pretty sure i got to the endboss and i can probably beat this mission after maybe even just one more try. But i won't bother, because i will probably have the same thing during mission 2.

Conclusion

Looks cool, nice gameplay, terrible balance. Subtracting one star because of the latter.
