So there won't be a data importer for Veilguard, which I'm fine with because there really wasn't one for DA:I, but it does mean that we have to customize our Inquisitor from DA:I, and I hope that I can successfully replicate mine because I desperately wanted them to be the hero is this one, and in …

So there won't be a data importer for Veilguard, which I'm fine with because there really wasn't one for DA:I, but it does mean that we have to customize our Inquisitor from DA:I, and I hope that I can successfully replicate mine because I desperately wanted them to be the hero is this one, and in the absence of that possibility I want to accurately transpose them into this game for their cameo.

Well now it’s confirmed, that trailer was a “choice”, and a weird one at that.

I can't tell if I'm actually a Dragon Age fan because while I've played all of them (haven't finished Inquisition), I've only really enjoyed Origins. The rest were mild fun and I sincerely doubt Veilguard is going to dethrone DAO as my fave after that last trailer. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

My only expectation was that they'd give Solas back his wig.

Now I wish I had no expectations.

Woof, that sure does look like something that started as a live service game and that was hastily retooled. Not loving the plastic Fortnite aesthetic. I hope that’s a product of the aesthetic they chose for the cinematic trailer and not the overall look and feel of the game. We’ll see on Tuesday.

So DA: Dreadwolf was renamed to DA: The Veilguard. Also they are dropping new info news Tuesday, clearly as a personal birthday gift to me 😊

More and more rumblings that Dreadwolf is getting a proper reveal soon, and that the devs are feeling pretty confident about it! Excited to finally learn something, anything about the cast.

Sounds like they're still shooting to get this out by the end of the year - I know it's popular to hate on Bioware among some circles, but I'm really excited for the next installment in the series.

Dragon Age And Mass Effect Studio Lays Off 50 Devs, Claims Games Are Unaffected

The studio announced on August 23 that it will cut 50 roles as it continues production on both Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and Mass Effect 4, telling fans it needed to take a more “agile and focused” approach to game development.

“In order to meet the needs of our upcoming projects, continue to hold ourselves to the highest standard of quality, and ensure BioWare can continue to thrive in an industry that’s rapidly evolving, we must shift towards a more agile and more focused studio,” wrote BioWare general manager Gary McKay. “It will allow our developers to iterate quickly, unlock more creativity, and form a clear vision of what we’re building before development ramps up.”

Some of those laid off appear to be in QA. And DA: Dreadwolf is expected out in 2024. Do I bother getting my hopes up that it won't be a mess?

Oh well, back to BG3.

EA recently confirmed this isn't coming out til April 2024 at the earliest. Still excited to murder Solas, but 10 years is a long wait.
