This is a grand strategy game with no tutorial and a terrible interface that doesn't explain even abbreviations if you hover over something. The gameplay is extremely basic, the concetpt of manpower isn't represented for instance. There is no free form gameplay, just turn-limited scenarios. One of the most bizarre things is that combat result popups automatically close after a few seconds.

I wanted to see if there was a manual or something and then the game crashed when i Alt+Tabbed. SotP also has a weird launcer that sends you to an unsecured website... in Internet Explorer. I didn't even know that was still on my PC somewhere.

Overall, this 2014 game is infintely inferior to 2005's Hearts of Iron 2.
