As predicted, I dropped it really quickly. One of the reasons is probably a minor gripe but I couldn't deal with the sound effect that would trigger when people were talking. I am fine with visual novels without voice acting but they opted to make each character say their own version of a weird, misplaced "Hm" sound that would repeat every single time a character had a line. If you read fast like me, you'd end up hearing it every second. The second reason is that the main character was annoying me right from the start. And the story was dragging on and was just overall weirdly paced/constructed. I have no clue what they were going for with this game but I didn't like a single moment of it (well, what little of it I experienced). If it had better reviews, I'd probably stick with it a bit longer but as it stands, I seriously doubt my experience would have changed for the better.

I've read some reviews and I am not feeling very optimistic about this one (not to mention visual novels rarely keep my attention) but I am still really drawn to the art and the premise so I will give it a go. Wish me luck
