Like other games in the series the game is still difficult, but I found this one to be more forgiving. While I have yet to play all of the games in the series, I found this one to be enjoyable despite the games lack of innovation.

Like other games in the series the game is still difficult, but I found this one to be more forgiving. While I have yet to play all of the games in the series, I found this one to be enjoyable despite the games lack of innovation.
I cannot recommend this to everybody. It may be too simplistic for many and others may find the gameplay dated. Classic gamers, on the other hand, will find some enjoyment and some challenge.

Beat with significant difficulty and save state scumming. I did not figure out the jumping until near the final boss (what I have to press down first to high jump?). I was doing running jumps the entire game. The boomerang weapon is better and the final boss is poorly designed. I vaguely recall renting this in the 90s but that is all I recall about it.
It is a half decent game that borders on mediocre.

Completed on emulator in about 3 hours.
Fun game. Jumping is a bit awkward but you get used to it.
It's not an easy game, but nowhere near as difficult as Adv. Island 1
