Storyline is updated frequently depending on the success of the game. Unfortunately the game obligated you to farm and replay endlessly to aquire certain items, or pay to get them quickly. New characters also added frequently, which means the grinding and upgrading is endless as well.
It takes few days to reach maximum level, but quite a while to Max all the stats.
