OH BOY!!!! What an amazing game!!! The story surrounding the game shows how the protagonist's mentality is. Throughout this adventure some puzzles will have to be made (where some will put the player's heads to think a little), some battles to be won to proceed, accompanied by a fasinating soundtrack and landscapes. One of the features that this game has (it may not appeal to some players) is if the player dies too many times in a row the progress will reset the progress where the player will have to do it all over again. But apart from that I invite any player to play this game once in a lifetime.

I guess having a huge backlog of AAA games hold me back from enjoying experimental games. Because when I try to play this game, I hear voices, just like Senua. They tell me to "turn off this game and play some Witcher III instead". I'm sad.

Whoa.. I just learned that the XBox One controller has trigger rumble in addition to the regular rumble that every other game uses. Why don't more games make use of this? Or is it only allowed for games downloaded from the Microsoft Store (which this is my first one I've ever downloaded)?

Senua is a very vulnerable yet determined character and I love watching her struggle.
Anyone have any other games like this they would recommend? Haven’t beat it yet but nearing the end.

Final update
Completed and I feel drained
this is possibly the best story I have ever played
**edit - perhaps just to elaborate slightly, I felt drain because of how effective the story is, for something to have an effect like that is fantastic work, I don't want you to think being drained in anyway is a negative for this

Tried out the VR version. Great atmosphere! Got to the first puzzle and couldn't figure out what it wanted me to do. Looked like a matching game. It's way too hot to be frustrated with a VR headset on ;) so I quit for now.

Well, hello.
After spending a month travelling through Scandinavia and reading one and a half books on norse mythology I have a bigger appreciation for this game. I'm loving Durth's retelling of the viking myths. Listening to this man telling me stories is much more genuine to the oral tradition than reading Gaiman's Norse Mythology.

Not many titles give me goosebumps throughout the whole credits.
I'm happy to say that Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is one such title that did give me goosebumps.

Started playing. Holy God. This is a new and disorientating journey.
