The one mobile game that stuck me to the end.

Criminal Case is an HOG mobile game that features forensics themed puzzle modes and a storyline. This is the one that got me hooked until the end of the story campaign on the smartphone, due to a consistent plot that veers into different cases, the characters that you work or interact with and combined with that, the character development that benefits the plot. Being put into a semi-cartoon style, the story setting can be normally light-humoured but since the player has to deal with murder cases of various forms, it doesn't shy away from grittier, mature details either. Despite some forced plot devices and predictable patterns re-occuring for progress' sake, the way the clues and forensics results are presented are quite clever and holds up to the crime detective standards. Due to the energy system, most typical to mobile games, the pacing can be fragmented depending on your performance and how much you'd like to spend on it (I've generally got away with in-game currencies). At least it won't keep you stuck on the phone for more than 10 minutes if you go the cheap way. And to this day, I've been stuck on this franchise for over 2 years …
