11 hours in game and i can say..I really tried to like this... but I dropped. It's a shame, the Art style is so gorgeous.

I'm 6 or 7 hours in and I have to retire this one. I'm just not having that much fun. As a metroidvania, it's not very satisfying, don't love the map. Some of the bosses are neat, but I'm finding my patience for puzzles in action-platformers is getting lower and lower. The further I get, the more puzzles there are.

  • Messy map design. Hard to get used to.
  • Bland characters. Except a few.
  • Story is all over the place.
  • Too long.
  • Way too many dialogues. Just shush.
  • Almost useless crafting.
  • Boss fights are fun.
  • Amazing pixel art.
  • Catchy sound effects. Main theme is awesome.

Give it a chance. I played on hard difficulty. Not really necessary. Normal mode heavily suggested.

I'm about three hours in and the pixel art is straight up carrying this game.

Some of the bosses are fun.

I disliked the story and all of the characters. Game was okay, I don’t think it was amazing.

Dear people with PlayStation Plus,

Remember that this month Iconoclasts is also free for PS4. You just need to activate ir for PSVita first. Then, because of the cross-play, you can download it on the PS4.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

Got it on the Switch. I enjoyed it at first, but I grew to dislike it more with every hour. I hated the tower...so fucking tedious. The narrative intrigued me at first, later I couldn't care less. Got it on the Switch. I enjoyed it at first, but I grew to dislike it more with every hour. I hated the tower...so fucking tedious. The narrative intrigued me at first, later I couldn't care less. Same goes for the characters. I didn't like the puzzles one bit. The enemies and bosses range from pretty cool to kinda...Idk, inelegant? But the pixel art is gorgeous!

I stopped playing somewhere in the mountains, moving on to Dead Cells.

Somehow I started this in January, and I am still playing it. I guess I'm not playing very much on the go right now (I have it for Vita). It's not a bad game, it has fun combat and an engaging enough story (if somewhat full of predictable story elements). I pick it up now and then and continue where I left off. I played it recently while flying between countries, but haven't returned to it since.

Più lineare di quanto mi aspettassi, anche se l'elemento esplorativo c'è ed è abbastanza gradevole. Comunque è un bel gioco, divertente, curato nelle meccaniche di combattimento, con dei bei boss è una storia che funziona.

So far, Iconoclasts looks gorgeous on the Vita and has great platforming and combat mechanics. The writing is a tad rough and sometimes even a little off putting, but it’s early on and I’m hoping that improves. Overall, the game is fairly impressive for the work of one person.

Wow, I found an even prettier trailer. The pixel art in this game is gorgeous. This might be the first I buy in 2018.

This looks like a fun title to pick up for the Vita when it drops:
