I'm sad. SkateBird isn't very good. The birbs are cute, but this game needs a lot of work. There's not a lot of personality to the game, the environments are very generic and lack any kind of spirited or motivated art direction. I would have loved something that included environments that match the visual appeal of the birds, but it's all very sterile and bland.

The controls are also a problem. Everything is incredibly stiff, and the camera is a nightmare to control. *SakteBird. is constantly fight against my every input and that makes it very hard to enjoy.

I didn't have astronomical hopes for this, I just wanted cute skater birds, but so far it is a letdown.

Three days till Skatebird on Game Pass. I hope this isn't another Art of Rally, a neat looking indie that I was super stoked for only to be disappointed with the end product.

It seems like I'm ragging on indies, but I was just so excited for Art of Rally that I was sad when it wasn't as good as I hoped.
