There is some fun here, but overall this is probably a disappointment for Contra fans. This game mostly plays like a twin stick shooter. Read moreThere is some fun here, but overall this is probably a disappointment for Contra fans. This game mostly plays like a twin stick shooter. The immediate gameplay is okay enough, but it doesn't take long for it to get repetitive with the same enemies and same levels. At one point they even say something like "You already cleared this area, but stronger enemies have moved back in." Then you have to play the same level with the same enemies that have stronger attack/defense this time. There are a lot of upgrade options for weapons and characters, but it's a little confusing how it works and much too complicated for a Contra game where you just want to run through a crazy environment and blow stuff up.
