Good game with nice graphics. This game to me was the reverse of Xenoblade 2 which started poorly but grew so much better by the end. Good game with nice graphics. This game to me was the reverse of Xenoblade 2 which started poorly but grew so much better by the end. This one opened great but it really drags on at the end with the story becoming super cheesy and corny. The combat was not as good as Xenoblade 2 imo. I'd give it 4/5 just like Xenoblade 2 because its got enough good things to deserve it. I liked the sense of scale in the game where the worlds are so massive, combat was quite deep but i played in casual mode because i just wanted to go through the story and explore the world without figuring out the battle system too deeply.

Casual mode is cool because it means you dont stress about finding the best items/gears, upgrading the best skills and etc to enjoy the game. I finished the game at level 73 which is actually quite underleveled for the final boss. By the end i have had my fill of the game (too much filler fetch quests by the end) and was happy to call it a day.

Looking forward to Xenoblade 3 if there will be one

man this game is amazing, grouvee said this post needs to be longer than 10 words, but if you're a jrpg fella it's a must have imo

Played quite a bit of this yesterday. I like the story so far, but the combat honestly feels like a mess at first. I get how people compare this to FFXII, but the UI is so much harder to follow, and you have to do so much more manually in real time on top of having limited control over your party at a given moment. Seems like one of those things you “get used to,” but I am not initially a fan of how it plays out. Regardless, I like the game and am looking forward to seeing where the story goes now that I’ve got out of the beginning areas. Its sense of scale alone lends it a pretty epic feel that draws me in.

So I suppose I up and went and bought this because it was on sale. People with opinions I tend to trust like it a lot, so I'll take a risk on it sometime soon.

Nice graphics and environments. Character's are all good and I didn't dislike any.I liked the gameplay but really why so many drops of us less weapons and amour. I found that the last couple of chapters I disconnected from the game and found myself just wanting it to end because it was a tad bit to long and I've got 3 other games to play. I will play the 2nd game at some point.

I really like the environment and just walking around and exploring. I'm over 70 hours in and I think getting close to the end, not including future connected. The combat has begun to get a bit dull and I definitely skipped some side quests. Unfortunately I now feel under leveled whilst before I felt over-leveled when I was doing every side quest. I had to turn on casual mode for a couple bosses because I couldn't go back to grind more due to being able to save anywhere, oops! That one is on me. Thankfully the casul mode was there or I would have lost a lot of progress (I do try to keep some backup saves, you never know).

Anyways I am enjoying it, it is long, combat can be a bit slow. But I love seeing what is going to come next and what I'll see next. I think I will give Xenoblade Chronicles 2 another shot as well. Maybe not right away after this game, but another try. I got 100 hours into that game, quit, restarted, now I just gotta figure out what I want to do restart a 3rd time or just try to push forward. But that XBC2.

Seven hours in now, and I’d say I’ve officially hit my gaming stride with this one. I’m having a ton of fun just zoning out and completing a bunch of quests back to back. I’m also rather curious to see where the story’s heading. Especially because I was straight up astonished by a particular story beat, with a certain character getting brutally murdered, one I was certain had impenetrable plot armor and would act as childhood friend turned love interest for the entirety of the game.

I'm around 17 hours into the game. I remember having around 80 or so when I put the game away years ago but I mostly walked everywhere and didn't fast travel that much.

Ok so I've officially gotten sucked back into the world of the bionis. No doubt I'll spend the holidays playing through this.

I bumped it down to Casual just to breeze through the combat and make things a bit easier, I'm really just playing for the story and nostalgia at this point which if has in droves.

Haven't been on much lately, but I'm finally updating here.

I finished this (main game) overnight last Thursday, at around 107 hours. I started up the extra story but I was out of town for 5 days seeing my sick grandma and didn't have time to play much.

I'm gonna post a review later when I feel like getting on …

Been five years since I played this on 3DS. Quite the achievement to jam it on 3DS if I do say so. Looking forward to reliving this gem.
