I have a real soft spot for games that are essentially mini vacations: A few hours spent in a nice place. Luna's Fishing Garden, while not the most unique or surprising experience, meets that criteria. It's breezy and relaxing, it doesn't overstay its welcome, and I enjoyed the process of fishing, gardening, upgrading my boat and fishing rod, and gradually setting up a whole farming operation just to satisfy my inner completionist.
Just finished this in almost a single sitting, what a beautiful and sweet little game. Fishing mechanics are like in stardew valley, except honestly a bit more difficult! I played on "simple" fishing mode for most of it, which makes fishing really easy but still engaging enough to be fun. Other than that, there's lots of crops and trees to plant, capybaras and birds to help you harvest everything, cute characters to meet, and beautiful pixel art to look at. It's super short - a 100% playthrough took me less than 3 hours - but it was a nice refreshing break in between other games. Good one to pick up now while it's on sale.
loved this game so much!! the art is so charming and you can really tell the artist's poured their heart into it. the story is short and sweet and offers a nice feeling of progression, as well as the journals! the npcs are unique and pleasant. the general atmosphere of the game is very cosy and you're always occupied throughout unlike some similar games where you may have to idle etc. really recommend!
This game is boring and short. The only mechanic of medium complexity is fishing.

This is an extremely short game about a garden that needs to be repaired, through fishing, side quests, and farming you slowly make the world more beautiful. The art style is really nice and the sound design is quite enjoyable. This game is a break from other games because it is very short, and quite easy to not have to worry about anything. After the first 15 or so minutes you can basically set up an almost fully automated form of money production using capybaras.
The fishing mechanic is honestly interesting since yoh can change the speed of the rod pulling, and different areas need different settings to perform best. The fishing is honestly pretty difficult in some senarios and makes it long enough to have a little bit of grind needing to catch fish for npcs and the muesuem. However there is an "easy" mode which requires almost no skill, if you had this mode on plus the work of capybaras you could likely 100% this game in under an hour.
I only have suggestion on maybe because it is very simple game and it is very …

I only have suggestion on maybe because it is very simple game and it is very short, if you need a break from long rpgs and enjoy fishing minigames and cute animal characters I would probably suggest it, but it is not enough content to fully be worth it.
