When it comes to vehicular combat games like Twisted Metal, you can't help but be reminded of Vigilante 8, a long lost rival.

Using a 70's style set up in character and car design, Vigilante 8 offers some of the best car fighting systematics in the genre. Having unique defensive and offensive capabilities, every playable character brings something brutal to the match.

Each character has an unlockable movie sequence that is reminiscent of one of Tekken's features, giving us a glimpse into that character's background.

Though this game looks rough graphics wise, it has decent controls that cooperate seamlessly. I know it's far fetched, but I hope this game will some day get either a remaster or remake because with today's gaming engines, they could really do something amazing with this series.
