You are Névoa, an enigmatic child of Fate returning at long last to Earth, in this explor-action platformer from the creators of Celeste. Earthblade's lush pixel art world offers seamless exploration, challenging combat, and countless mysteries to pick apart.
After internal disagreements about Celeste's IP rights at the beginning of 2024, which culminated in the game's art director parting ways with Extremely OK Games, and discussions, the game was canceled internally sometime around December 2024 and publicly announced by the developer on January 22nd, 2025.

Earthblade's cancellation still stings, but it somewhat soothes to see that Lena Raine has released a concept album of music she developed for its soundtrack. Only just digging in but it seems really neat, full of pensive pauses and spooky drawling synths.
Edit: Whoa, "Lineage" is really good. It has that Mitsuda-y, PS1 RPG sense of strange and boundless wonder, an echo of an adventure that never was.
