Just like Kirby Fighters Deluxe is an expansion of Kirby Fighters, a subgame from Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe is an expansion of Dedede's Drum Dash, all of them released in 2014.

Title Screen.

This is a pretty simple rhythm game with 14 levels that you can easily beat under two hours, although the final level is a lot harder to complete with enough score to achieve the maximum rank. You jump over drums and try to keep the beat pressing A when you are at the highest point of the jump. There are some obstacles and enemies along the way, but most of them are easy to avoid.

Gameplay.

The ultimate goal of the game is getting a platinum medal in all the levels, as well as getting a high enough total score to get a platinum trophy. Completing most levels without any mistakes while keeping the beat is pretty easy even if you aren't good at rhythm videogames, although the last level is pretty hard to do perfectly, and getting the last platinum medal took me half of the playthrough. Still, don't expect spending more than 10 hours of playtime unless you replay the levels just to achieve the highest scores possible.

Trophy.

In conclusion, this "spin-off" is a lot more entertaining than Kirby Fighters Deluxe and actually feels like a different experience from playing the original subgame from Triple Deluxe, but both of them are pretty short and you can buy longer and better games in Steam during sales with similar or lower prices ($6.99). Still, this is the perfect place to start playing rhythm games if you are new to the genre or have a hard time with them.
