I was very much looking forward to this game before it was first released. I enjoyed it for a short time but it was just too similar to Wild World for it to have a lasting appeal to someone familiar with the series. I got bored of it very quickly and because AC:WW was portable and basically the same game I preferred it to City Folk.

Down in the city.
This review is for the Wii version

The city life take on this game truly makes it feel like no other. Yeah, yeah it’s basically world on Wii but that makes them feel connected in a fun and cozy way.

Just started a new town and Broccolo is officially one of my favorite villagers! We’d be bros in real life, I swear.

My introduction to Animal crossing was New Leaf and that might be the better game, but I'm playing City Folk to see if it has any unique charm. Three days into it so far. It doesn't feel the same without Isabelle, but Bob is one of my neighbors. I like Bob. I also liked being given chores to do by Tom Nook. I wish that could have been a daily thing until the house and upgrades are paid off, but it was only on the first day. If there's anything unique to enjoy about this game, I guess it's the soundtrack.
