All of the Vampire Survivor and off shoot games inspired me to play through Crimsonland for the first time in nearly 20 years. I think there are better options for twin-stick shooters and arena survival games these days (many of them by Crimsonland's creators!) but it's still a solid experience and the nostalgia hits hard. All of the Vampire Survivor and off shoot games inspired me to play through Crimsonland for the first time in nearly 20 years. I think there are better options for twin-stick shooters and arena survival games these days (many of them by Crimsonland's creators!) but it's still a solid experience and the nostalgia hits hard. None of the more modern games I've played focus so heavily on limited-time power ups, so it still has an enjoyable, frantic style all its own.

I'll probably chip away at the hardcore levels and survival mode achievements here and there for a while yet.

Not So Great, Very Tough to Reccomend given choices of alternatives.

I like stuff like this. Super Smash TV, Alien Shooter 2 Reloaded, etc.

But I dont like this, This isn't those. It doesn't play like those it doesnt feel like those and it's at best it's own thing.

weapon choices , play and design, pickup mechanics, various other bits . just dont like it.
