Great 2-player puzzle game

I saw someone recommend this game on TikTok. I mean, it's free so I thought, why not? So I hopped on this with my sister and she made a very apt point: this is what the game Tick Tock a Tale for Two should have been.

First, you actually play online together. You can create a room with a password and the person you intend to play with can join. You then each pick a character and can go through the puzzles together. After every puzzle, you can stop if you need to, but you can go through all the puzzles in about 3 hours. What each party does affects the other's progress live. You can also talk together via walkie-talkies through the game (think of something like Phasmaphobia). You really need to work and progress together.

The story is alright! This is just the prologue so it's a sudden, open ending. But this was made by students, all volunteers. One of the creators did say that the rest of the story is planned out, they would just need funding to continue. It's a cool start and could wind up being very interesting.

That being said, while the story is nice, in my opinion, it actually wasn't the most important part. The puzzles are great! They make a great deal of sense and can be resolved with problem-solving skills and a bit of time. Sometimes you play puzzle games and the puzzles are overly complicated or don't make much sense. This was very achievable within 3 hours.

I really hope there's a Kickstarter for this game at some point. Overall it was a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing what the creators can do if they're given the opportunity to continue.

Again, it's free, so you can totally give this a try without commitment!
