I don't usually have the patience to hunt game trophies, but Hades is just so good that I got my first ever platinum.

Beautiful visuals, beautiful audio, highly addictive gameplay, and great storytelling. I should have played this a lot sooner.

must say I have never found a game where the replayability value is infinite without compromising the story and plot. Narrative-wise it is infinitely replayable too. And that was pre-Generative AI.

I can't believe I'm still playing this game. Not because it's not good but because I haven't reached the end of the story even after like 90 runs. I can't believe I'm still playing this game. Not because it's not good but because I haven't reached the end of the story even after like 90 runs. I even had to start increasing the heat (something that I didn't want to do in the first place) just to make it a bit more of a challenge. Randomise the chances of advancing through the story is a decision that definitely doesn't go with me.

The definition of overstaying.

The amount of content and love this game has is incredible. It's just... why do you have to randomise my chances of progressing the side quests? Why drip feeding me through all of it?

I started playing this game yesterday and stayed up until like 5am with the pretence of "just one more run!"

The loop really, really doesn't feel like a loop

Hades is one of those games that are hard for me to rate. I love a lot of things about it. It's a piece of art, and a great one at that. The combat is generally fun. There aren't many weapon choices but they play and feel very differently, making each run feel different. But I also hate a lot of things about it as well. It's grindy as hell (no pun intended). The weapons aren't well-balanced; 1-2 of them are objectively better. Most of them are useless for the final two bosses, unless you luck out and find the best possible upgrades for them. Finishing a run is, honestly, very anticlimactic. Beating or not beating the final boss doesn't make much difference, in terms of the rewards you get. I got 30+ hours of (mostly) fun gameplay out of it, so I'm not complaining. But I can't help thinking that it could've been a much better experience.

Look I know 3 stars for Hades is way too low! I know! It absolutely deserves more stars technically! But these are my personal reviews so I'm going to be honest about my experience! Look I know 3 stars for Hades is way too low! I know! It absolutely deserves more stars technically! But these are my personal reviews so I'm going to be honest about my experience! Unfortunately I wasn't very good at this game. And normally that's not really an issue for me because I started playing video games late in life so I had a steep and challenging learning curve ahead of me. But the problem with Hades (again this is for me) is that if you're not very good the game gets tiresome and once it gets tiresome it gets really tiresome! You have to play the game over from the beginning each time you start out and let me tell you by the end I was so sick of that Bone Hydra I wanted to cry. The amount of relief I experience once I finally beat this game can not be measured in human amounts. So yes it's a great game, it's even a super great game, I just don't know if I had the skills or patience for it. But don't get me wrong! I will play the next one they make! I am not afraid of punishing myself a little!

Es ladilla tener que pasarme el juego 8 veces para poder ver el final real y tener que comprar tantos muebles y pendejadas decorativas. Pero es tan bueno...que quiero metermelo por elculo.

Wait, I thought Hades came out in 2020? Why does the release date on this site say 2018? Is that like an early access release or something? Hmm.

Anywho, absolutely digging it so far. Really great vibe, voice acting, and solid gameplay loop. Excited to keep on with it.

The characters, the story the BEAUTIFUL character and background design, the story, the sound design, the unique life given to such rich mythology, and the story. All amazing. This is definitely my favorite game of 2022 and I can'r reccoment it enough!

every time I think i've done everything, this game surprises me with something new to accomplish. I can't binge it all day long but after years, I still do a run every so often
