This game needs a practice room of some sort, somewhere you can test new loadouts. ME3 had a shooting range and it was helpful when deciding a loadout. This is especially needed for the Storm Javelin, where your elemental attacks are a big part of a load out. Especially during the early game, it's not clear what certain elemental attacks do until you test them, and currently the only way to test them outside a mission is via freeplay. And freeplay takes enough time to load that a faster instanced location for testing weapon loadouts would be a boon.

What a steaming hot diarrhea sandwich of an ending.
I know endings to things are hard but good God, at least try.
Staring at the credits in disbelief.

This is a fun game, and I enjoyed the alpha and both betas, as well as what I’ve played of the actual game. Gameplay is exciting and well designed. So don’t lose hope for this game or BioWare, but today there are no excuses for not being able to play a little freeplay :-(

Torn on this one. Very fun to play in a group with friends on hard difficulty.
But the story and mission design is just awful. The story has many of the same problems as Destiny. Obtuse, generic, lacking characters you can really root for.

Every mission is "Go here and kill waves of guys. Oh, there's a new...uh...signal or something. Go there and kill waves of guys. " Every. Single. Mission. This was a gripe with the original Destiny. Destiny 2 (and later, Forsaken) made this feel a bit better.
It's hard to "feel" the fantasy of the game when every mission seems like a contrived set of circumstances that make you go from point to point killing guys with almost no other interaction.
Oh, Lord, and the awful, awful, God awful, what were you people thinking awful UI design. Bioware...you people HAVE played a video game before right?
Having said all of that, playing on hard mode with friends is super challenging and very rewarding. The normal mission are what I consider "podcast" gaming. Put on a podcast, zone out, kill some time. Not unenjoyable.
It's not a bad game. It's just not a great one. It teeters between "meh" and "pretty good." And in a world where we're spoiled for choice with games, it's hard to justify too much time into something that's in that zone.
I'll reserve my full judgement until I hit some end game stuff.

So far I am enjoying this game. For various reasons Destiny never clicked with me but Anthem has enough minute-to-minute mechanics to make it fun for me. I read a number of reviews and coverage and so have tempered my expectations a bit.

I really like the big explosive super powers, which make for cinematic battles. The cooldown on powers is very short, which means you can use them a lot. The flying is well integrated, although a bit limited in duration. It is satisfying to hover over the battlefield and reign death and destruction from above.
One of my main gripes with Destiny (and many games) is I hate silent protagonists. I much prefer when the main character has dialogue and a personality. In Anthem the character has a personality and it is well voice-acted and cleverly written. I actually like engaging the NCPs. Though there are limited dialogue choices, that is fine with me. I don't need to feel like I am imbuing my idea of a personality into the character. I much prefer when smart writers and directors present a character with interesting traits and emotions.
Story-wise there is nothing new here. Fairly traditional Sci-Fi video game stuff. Again, not what I am here for.

Well I love the Storm Javelin. I’m sure it’s going to be a popular one, since every kid loves playing as a mage in other MMOs, but the storm feels like a biotic from ME. Since there’s no healer class I think I’m going to stick with the class that can stay in hover almost indefinitely and has excellent range capabilities. I’m sure the game will have an over saturation of Storm Javelins but I really can’t worry myself about that. This class just feels way too much fun to play to worry.

I sincerely hope this will be a real cosmetic for Anthem. I need me this N7 Javelin!
Also I’m stoked that the game will have a support role, possibly even a healer role. That’s my favourite way to roll. I can’t wait.
