ATadMad's review of Dead Secret

This is a decent murder mystery game. Keeps you guessing from the beginning and has an unusual plot. Graphics are meh and can be a little glitchy at times but it's not really anything to complain about. I actually really liked the dramatic soundtrack. It was very 1950's so kept me immersed. My advice is to try and find every single letter/note otherwise the ending might not make much sense in terms of motive etc. Should be played in one sitting!

Game three of the year completed.

As I wanted more titles PS VR, I originally brought back on 5th January 2019 for £4.99 (now £11.99, so I think I got it in the sale).

Played it "flat" mode and it's overwhelming how much it's meant to be played in VR.

Nonetheless, I completed over two sessions totaling roughly 4 and a half hours. Nothing particularly stands out on reflection - couple of jump scares here and there in addition to your usual murder mystery/ escape room mechanics.

A couple of downside - main bulk of the story itself is mainly in text. Puzzles ranged from very easy to requiring slight thought/focus.

On the flip side - easy to pick up and easy trophies.

P.S. I haven't used my PS VR as much as I thought I would when first purchased. Mainly due to the motion sickness I experience while using is. I really need to experiment using it at different times, hungry/thirst levels and config it correctly. As I feel it's a shame I've used it probably less then 20 times...
