I died before I could reach the final chapter. It took more than 7 hours of reading about the life of Sir Likav Brante and making choices for him along the way to get there, though. I felt like I got my money's worth in that time.

Although this game is very much of a "choose your own adventure", I don't know that the plot would have turned out any differently. Rather, the choices you make along the way affect the stats you carry forward and those stats allow you to avoid (or not) the pitfalls the game throws at you. Fail to avoid enough of them and you die, as I did.

Since the story really is the game, I won't say much about it other than that it is a well-told story about an oppressive society in a fantasy world akin to high medieval Europe.

I could see myself replaying it in the future.
