Been processing why I keep playing Crackdown 3 despite the fact it has infamously received a cold shoulder from gamers, and I think it stems from the fact that I actually enjoy parts of the game.

The levels and bosses have a far more crafted feel to them than the standard open-world game setpieces and the more generic bullet sponge bosses.

There are moments in Crackdown three that feel far more platformer than open-world exploration. I'm making calculated jumps and dashes to complete level-like missions.

I feel bad for people who paid $70 for Crackdown 3 because there are a lot of problems with it. Driving is awful, the lame radio buddies constantly talking to you is annoying, and lack of content makes it a poor price investment.

But I got it through Gamepass and these problems are way less of an issue when the game is free and I know I could drop the game at anytime without having to worry about my cost investment. It has let the good things in the game shine a bit brighter.

The most meh game that I couldnt put down. It felt like more crackdown. With Terry crews. The story was forgettable and the action was solid, but I had to push my way through it while checking boxes along the way. Rent it or get it on sale.

Checked out some of Crackdown 3 this morning... it seems like it's more of the same from before, which means ridiculous jumping and fun explosions... why did folks hate this game?

So finished up playing around 12 hours of Crackdown 3 campaign last night and well... I don't understand how you can defeat a boss and their activities are still on the map and harder than ever before. The game is not getting easier, it's just evening out. Don't know how someone who has never played this game before could do this entire thing in 9-10 hours but I'm famously slow at playing games, so maybe it's just me. Anyway, still having fun.... But Crackdown's tricks are wearing quite thin. That final boss battle can't come soon enough.

Was given to understand this game was super easy. I won't say it's necessarily hard, but I wouldn't say it's too easy either. A bit repetitive, but even after 8 hours, I don't really feel like I'm grinding. Not yet anyway. The story is kind of like Saints Row 3 or Agents of Mayhem; just with less personality. Not hating …

Not hating it or anything, but I kind of have a race to the finish attitude about it right now. Want to finish before Blair Witch and Control come out next week.

I have Game Pass, so I decided to fire this up. So far, very fun. Shallow, but very fun.

I think this is the best of the 3 Crackdown games. IDK why the score is so low on here. I think this is the best of the 3 Crackdown games. IDK why the score is so low on here. The campaign is fun with a few neat additions such as slightly more detailed bosses (information on who they are and what they do), the collecting the DNA of other killed agents, and plenty of general fun like in the previous two games. The multiplayer is also decent and the achievements aren't difficult to get at all.
