A masterpiece in vibe-delivering

The game isn’t perfect. The core gameplay loop starts to feel a bit repetitive after a while, but everything else about it is simply outstanding. The pixel art is gorgeous, and the theme and tone blend seamlessly with the events and the quirky characters you meet along the way. But what I think is the cherry on top is the OST. These songs got engraved deep in my mind and made me feel absurdly nostalgic for something I never even lived.

It’s truly a joy to come across a piece of art like this every now and then. This medium really is something special.

So addictive, I had to delete

I never expected to feel awe from scrolling pixel art backgrounds, but this game did it. It captures the road trip mood well. And shopping between long roads in this game feels fun!

Gameplay is not bad, but random road events are just too frequent and it gets annoyingly repetitive before you explore all content, unfortunately :(
I wish there was a mode with less road events.

Ultimately, even though I'd love to see all hitchhikers with their dialogue and gameplay quirks and seeing all endings this game has to offer, one run takes too much time and this game is hard to put down mid session, so after getting 4 endings (out of 8+ total?) I'm it calling quits.

Maybe I'll reinstall this game if I'll need to skip time in real life, because this is how it works. You pick it up and 2-3 hours just fly by, because "just one more turn".
