Bringing the legendary war between two of science-fiction's most popular characters to FPS fans, AvP delivers three outstanding single player campaigns and provides untold hours of unique 3-way multiplayer gaming. Experience distinctly new and thrilling first person gameplay as you survive, hunt and prey in the deadly jungles and swamps surrounding the damned colony of Freya's Prospect. As the Marine, you'll experience a claustrophobic and terrifying experience where light is your friend, but there's never enough. However, the United States Marine Corps are humanity's last line of defense, and as such they are armed to the teeth with the very latest in high explosive and automatic weaponry. As the Predator, you will stalk from the shadows and from above, passing athletically through the treetops to ambush your victims. Although equipped with an array of powerful, exotic weapons and tracking equipment, honor ultimately dictates that you must get in close and take your trophies face to face. As the most deadly species in the universe, the Alien offers you the chance to play as the very stuff of nightmares - the monster in the dark swarming forward with countless others, jaws like a steel trap and claws like blades. Play all sides off against each other in a series of unique 3-way online modes and go tooth-to-claw-to-pulse rifle in the reinvention of one of multiplayer gaming's defining moments. Read less

I've beaten this game multiple times, but for some reason last night I wanted to play a FPS, and it was the most readily available, so I booted it up, and lo and behold, its exactly as I remember. Its games like this that I live for. Ill be talking about the marine campaign mostly, as that's what I enjoy most. Many times in the past iv said that its not a horror game when you have an armada at your fingertips, or your able to punch a 20 ton rock off a cliff (Cough cough Chris Redfield), but its just a facade, I flippin love these games. The fast paced borderline horror game genre always has me on edge, while also coercing me into letting out my war cry (at 2 AM mind you) as I empty multiple 99 round clips into the oncoming hordes, lobbing grenades and such as I become the person i'm playing as. I would play this over alien isolation any day, I absolutely hate games where your forced to hide from your enemies, and alien isolation handing you a weapon that does diddly squat really doesn't help that. I prefer to face my fears head on, I'm not the type that can hide from them, and this game definitely helps me do that(its especially helpful to face my fear of the xenos after alien isolation scarred me for life, cant even play games like outlast anymore). All in all this is a great game that i will continue to play over and over again until im dead, even if the graphics are quite 2010ish.
