Fun Style, but not a Fun Game

Gameplay: 2 /5 Story: 2.5/5 Presentation: 3/5

Basis:

Story= plot progression, intrigue, characters, world

Gameplay= Mechanics, gameplay options (freedom), repetition, goals, difficulty

Presentation= graphics, animation, environment/character design, Art direction, Script, music

The game, though story driven, is very redundant. Every mission really is the same thing and most of the time it is on the exact same empty map. With some kind of cool scenery in the distance. Either you are in a repetitive mission, watching a slow cutscene, reading text bubbles or realizing that the crafting system is somewhat pointless.

The anime style design of characters is fun. There is a bit of fan service for sure, but there is less than the first game. The concepts for the story are cool and the mechanics of how Aragami's survive and how your God Arc weapons work is creative as well. I got about 6 and a half hours into the game before I decided to move on to other titles on my backlog.
