Wow, what a fun, arcade-y game. Typically, I don't see games doing this many varied mechanics very well. It tends to get overwhelmed. Wow, what a fun, arcade-y game. Typically, I don't see games doing this many varied mechanics very well. It tends to get overwhelmed. Split Fiction manages to introduce one, iterate on it for a level, and then on rare occasion go back to it. The lets the player focus, which is a smart element. In addition, the game just keeps most of the mechanics pretty simple.

I am also having a blast with all the creative, set piece moments. Thematically they don't have to tie into the main game much (they are just pieces of an idea) and that gives the developers a lot of freedom to just do something fun. There are so many that are just a blast to go through. Loved the fight against the Ice King and the space station level with the sun going supernova..

This is a completely serious question - do you think I can play this alone with two controllers? The bane of my existence is having no one to play co-op games with but this looks really cool and I'm interested in the story.

Enjoying this so far. It is light and the characters are endearing enough. I had heard the writing is very "okay" and so was not going in with high expectations. The moment to moment is fun and playing it through with my adolescent daughter, whom is at the perfect age for this, is making the experience all that more enjoyable.

My partner bought Split Fiction today so we could play it together. <3

As soon as it's done installing, we're going to play. I'm very excited as I had a lot of fun playing through It Takes Two with him.

I can’t believe I didn’t know this was out. Ordered it straight away, and really looking forward to playing it with my 10-year old daughter. We’ve played through “It takes two” twice together; it’s one of her favorite games, and one of my favorite gaming experiences with her (except for maybe Cuphead, or Turtles in time).
